Cassava starch is a kind of white starch obtained from cassava roots, which is applied in different fields. Before becoming cassava starch, cassava  roots must go through a series of processing procedures. These procedures contain cassava roots cleaning and washing, cassava roots cutting and  crushing, cassava starch extraction, cassava starch slurry extraction  and purification, cassava starch dewatering , cassava starch  drying, cassava starch sieving and packing. A .Cleaning and washing section of the processing line of starch obtained from cassava roots:

a. The cleaning section is done by dry sieve.  Dry sieve is first used in impurities pre-removal for the production of starch obtained from cassava roots. There are multiple inner spirals in this machine, which can push the material moving forward and clean the surface of cassava roots effectively.

b. The washing section is done by paddle washing machine. It adopts countercurrent washing principle. With paddle rotating, cassava roots can flow in the converse direction against water. So the cassava roots can be washed clean.

B. Cutting and crushing section of the processing line of starch obtained from cassava roots:

a. The cutting section is done by cutting machine. The cutting machine is used for cutting cassavas into small pieces, 3-5cm, for further processing. It consists of foundation, main frame, cutters, ,motor and drive system.

b. The crushing section is done by rasper. Then these small pieces of cassava roots are crushed by rasper. The machine with high speed has high coefficient and high extraction rate. The touch material is stainless steel.

C. The extraction section of the processing line of starch obtained from cassava roots:

The extraction section mainly includes   removing fiber, removing protein and cell liquid and concentrating. Removing fiber is mainly done by two machines: centrifuge sieve and fine fiber sieve. For another, removing cell liquid protein and concentrating is mainly done by disc separator  and hydrocyclone station.

a. Centrifuge sieve is used for the extraction of starch from the materials, removing fiber from starch slurry. The machine with automatic front and back washing system guarantee good screen penetration and high-efficiency operation.

b. Then fine fiber sieve furtherly separates small fiber from starch slurry according to its own gravity and low centrifugal force function by screen mesh inside the drum.

c. Disc separator. It uses centrifugal force to accelerate separating starch obtained from cassava roots. It is  mainly used in separating protein and cell out of cassava  starch slurry. It can be used for enrichment and concentration of cassava starch .

d. Hydrocyclone station includes concentrating, recovering and washing. It can be used to remove fiber, protein and cell cap out of cassava starch milk completely.

D. The dewatering section of the processing line of starch obtained from cassava roots:

a. The section is mainly by peeler  centrifuge. Peeler centrifuge  is used for the cassava starch dewatering. It adopts continuous operation and intermittent discharging to dewater the starch obtained from cassava roots. The final starch water content is 38%-42%.

E. The drying section is done by  flash dryer:

Flash dryer is applied to dry starch obtained from cassava roots, It adopts negative pressure to control the loss of starch and purifies the working environment.

F. The sieving section is done by cassava  starch sieving machine and the packing section the done by packing machine.
